If you are using a service portal for clients (SVPC) or a service portal for debtors (SVPD) and plan to update your IKAROS system to version 2025.1, you must also update your service portals. This is necessary because WCF communication is no longer supported in IKAROS 2025.1. Since older versions of the service portals rely on WCF, updating to the latest portal versions is required to ensure continued communication with IKAROS via gRPC.
Before updating IKAROS to version 2025.1, you must:
- update SVPC to version 2025.1, and
- update SVPD to version 2025.2.
Earlier IKAROS versions (such as version 2024.1) already support gRPC, but not in combination with a service portal.
The new versions of the service portals (SVPC 2025.1 and SVPD 2025.2) will be available in early November. These versions support both gRPC and WCF, and can therefore also be operated with older IKAROS versions (using WCF communication).
