XJustiz Version 4.x (Major Release 4.0 or an update thereto) will take effect on April 30, 2027, and will replace the currently valid XJustiz Version 3.6.2 on that date. This means that, as of April 30, 2027, only messages containing a structure record with XJustiz version 4.x may be sent. The necessary changes regarding the creation and reading of structure records will be included in the following IKAROS patches:
- IKAROS G4 Patch 2024.1 P4
- IKAROS G4 Patch 2025.1 P2
- IKAROS G4 Version 2026.1
If you are using the ELT module, please ensure that one of these patches (or a subsequent patch, if applicable) has been installed by April 30, 2027, at the latest.
Please note that our changes for the new XJustiz version generally take effect only if the custom code modules “Elt.Customizing.XJustizReader” and “Elt.Customizing.XJustizGenerator” are used in the standard version we provide (version 1). If you have made customer-specific modifications to the custom code modules (version >1), you will need to adapt your modules in accordance with our changes after updating to one of the IKAROS versions listed above.
Background on the XJustiz Standard:
In electronic legal communications, messages are supplemented by a so-called “structured data record” (XML file “xjustiz_nachricht.xml”). This contains standardized information that enables automated processing of the message by courts and other recipients. The structure of this structured data record is defined by the nationwide XJustiz standard (https://xjustiz.justiz.de/). Changes to this standard regularly require adjustments to the IKAROS-ELT module.
